A drunk van driver who killed a 19-year-old pedestrian three DAYS after a separate drink-driving arrest should have been give a life sentence, the teenager's devastated mother has said.

Daniel Johnsen had drunk eight pints of lager at a pub and was nearly three times over the drink-driving limit before getting into his van and driving along Habrough Road, Immingham, when he hit Lewis Tuson at 8.50pm on January 30, reports GrimsbyLive.

The teenager was hit from behind and suffered "unsurvivable" head injuries. Johnsen, 34, was jailed for more than nine years at Grimsby Crown Court on Tuesday.
