Manchester United will swoop for Gareth Bale if they continue to be frustrated in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho. With Borussia Dortmund continuing to play hardball over top target Sancho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are ready to offer Bale an escape route from his Real Madrid nightmare.
The Wales star is believed to be available on a permanent transfer for around £22million, with Madrid feeling the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
But it is understood United will seek a loan move, with Madrid sharing the cost of Bale's huge salary. The Red Devils were keen on Bale last summer but were deterred by the forward's £600,000-per-week wages.
