Manchester United have saved themselves around £40million ahead of signing Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils have come to an agreement with Alexis Sanchez to terminate the Chilean's contract so that he can complete a permanent move to Inter Milan.
Sanchez's free transfer will be confirmed on Thursday. The former Arsenal forward had two years remaining on his Manchester United deal prior to agreeing to rip it up.
Sanchez was on a staggering £400k-a-week, meaning he would have cost the Old Trafford club a huge £38.4m between now and 2022.
Additional bonuses in the Chilean's contract could have driven the final price up as high as £54m over the next two seasons.
