Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turned down Jadon Sancho's request to wear the no.7 shirt which caused the delay in his unveiling at Manchester United, according to a report.
The England winger completed his £73m transfer from Borussia Dortmund on Friday as the transfer saga finally came to a close.
The Red Devils had an offer accepted from the German side for Sancho and agreed on personal terms with the player during Euro 2020, but he was not officially announced as a Man Utd man until this past weekend.
