Former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan has recalled a time where he was furious after being left on the bench by Sir Alex Ferguson - so much so that he came on and scored two goals in anger.
The ex-Uruguay forward joined United from Independiente in 2002 and had an up-and-down spell at Old Trafford, becoming a cult hero due to two goals against bitter rivals Liverpool despite often not managing to live up to expectations with his performances.
He would often compete with Ruud van Nistelrooy for a place in the starting line-up, and speaking to the UTD Podcast Forlan recalled a game against Aston Villa in which he was named as a substitute. "I remember that time (against Villa) I was scoring goals, I was in a good role," Forlan
