Manchester United have been handed an injury boost after scans revealed Marcus Rashford’s ankle injury is not as serious as first feared.
The striker was forced off the pitch following a collision with Riyad Mahrez in United’s 2-0 Manchester derby victory over rivals City.
A first-minute penalty from Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw’s second half strike handed United the initiative at the Etihad as they looked to close the gap at the top of the table.
As the league leaders tried to fight their way back into the game, Rashford was forced into defensive duty as he chased down a City attack in the 70th minute.
