Manchester United have sent a message of support to former player Angel Gomes after the midfielder was hospitalised after a collision.
The incident occurred after just 15 minutes as the 23-year-old was stretchered off after an aerial challenge with Reims defender Amadou Kone, which resulted in the player being sent off.
A protective circle was formed around the former United man as he received treatment with fans from both clubs chanting his name for 10 minutes.
Thirty-four minutes were added on at the end of the first-half and Lille found of the net in stoppage time thanks to Bafode Diakite before Jonathan David wrapped up the points in added time at the end of the second-half.
