Man United 'ready' to pounce for Antoine Griezmann and more transfer rumours

The Athletic claims that United looked into the possibility of signing Griezmann in the summer only to switch targets. The 31-year-old is in his second spell at Atletico Madrid but this season has seen him restricted to a bit-part role, similar to that of Cristiano Ronaldo at United.
Griezmann has made seven appearances for Diego Simeone's side but each has come from the substitutes' bench. Read more: Forgotten United forward could be set for unlikely lifeline He is currently on a two-year loan from parent club Barcelona but his future is far from certain.
Elsewhere, French publication Per Jeunesfooteux says United could also be about to swoop for another Atletico player once his contract expires.
