Man took his own life 'because he could not stop playing same song in his head'

A man who could not stop playing the same song in his head took his own life as a result of the rare syndrome. Anthony Wayne Walters revealed that "last song syndrome" had finally "killed" him in a heartbreaking suicide note, Wales Online reports.

The 55-year-old, from Glynneath, Neath Port Talbot, Wales, plunged to his death from the Pontwalby viaduct in January. An inquiry heard how he had phoned his friend David Williams and told him he intended to end his life as he had been “depressed for a long time and could not sleep”.

Mr Williams informed South Wales Police and then officers received a call from Mr Walters himself saying he was at Pontwalby viaduct in Glynneath and was going to jump, advising police to arrive at the scene in 30
