Covid-19 are urging people to get vaccinated to avoid more heartbreak. Glenn Barratt, 51, of Freeston Street, Grimsby, died in the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, following a three week battle with the virus.
His family think he may have got it while watching England play Croatia in Euro 2020, Hull Live reports. Glenn had not been vaccinated, however, his last words to nurses and doctors were "I wish I had."His family described him as being a gentle giant and over 6ft 3in tall, who volunteered in caring for many friends.They said he had been with a group of friends at the Old Clee Club watching England play Croatia.It is understood around seven people tested positive soon after the match, including a man in his 20s who also ended up in.
