Man taken to hospital following an assault at St Peter's Square tram stop

The 35-year-old man was injured during an incident at St Peter's Square Metrolink station on Monday night. Paramedics were called to the scene and treated the victim on the platform before taking him to hospital.

His condition has not been revealed. Police were also called and arrested one suspect. An investigation is underway. A part of the platform was cordoned off.
