Police cordoned off a Glasgow city centre street today after a horrific knife attack less than a mile from the hotel where an attacker who stabbed six was shot dead on Friday.
A man lay injured on the city’s Argyle Street yards from a Premier Inn hotel after reportedly being stabbed in both legs in what police are treating as a “targeted attack”.
Police and ambulance services rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area which is also just around the corner from the Hallmark Hotel on the city’s Washington Street where asylum seekers have been relocated following Friday’s attack.
The incident, which is completely unrelated to Friday’s attack, was being investigated by police as officers interviewed witnesses to the attack at the crime scene.
