A man was stabbed after reports masked men burst into a home in Swinton this morning. Greater Manchester Police have increased patrols following an attack on Kersal Avenue shortly before 11am.
The force said the man suffered only minor injuries. Shocked residents reported how masked men burst into the home this morning.
One resident told the M.E.N: "The streets need to be safe, our community does. The children need to be able to play in the street like we did as children.
The world's gone crazy." Police remained at the scene until Thursday afternoon. A spokeswoman for GMP said: "Officers were called to Kersal Avenue, Swinton, at 11am today (23 March) to reports of a disturbance. "A man sustained a minor knife injury in what is believed to be a targeted attack. "The investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests but extra officers will be in the area today and the next few days."
