Police have confirmed that a man who was seen with a firearm in Greenwich, London has been shot. On Friday (August 5) afternoon police attended to the scene after receiving "multiple 999 reports of a man with a firearm" and have confirmed that the man "sustained a gunshot injury".
So far, no other injuries have been reported following the incident. In a statement, Greenwich Metropolitan Police said: "At 14:31hrs on Friday 5 August police received multiple 999 reports of a man with a fireman in Creek Road, SE8.

A police firearm was discharged and the man sustained a gunshot injury. "London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance also attended.
