A man who was savaged by an XL bully while taking the bins out has shared his horror ordeal as cops continue to hunt for the beast.John Paterson, from Fife, was walking back towards his home on December 9 when the huge canine lunged at him before clamping its jaws onto his cheek.
The terrified 39-year-old tried to push the dog away, but it tore into his arm before he managed to escape and take shelter in a nearby flat stairwell.
John called emergency services and was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where medics said he will be scarred for life after the attack.
Adding to John's distress, the dog - which was not wearing a muzzle - is still on the loose as cops scramble trace it and its owner.
