A fitness instructor's heart stopped just five minutes after taking a selfie on a run. Grant Williams was training for the Manchester Marathon on March 9 this year when he suffered a cardiac arrest, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Just moments before collapsing in the street, the fit and healthy fitness instructor stopped to take a selfie with his fellow group of eight runners.

Grant, from Woolton in Merseyside, said it was the 'luckiest run to die on' after his group started CPR straight away when his heart stopped.

An off-duty nurse and doctor also happened to be walking past at the time the 53-year-old collapsed, and there was a defibrillator just across the street.
