The body of a man was discovered in a patch of woodland in Tameside on Thursday (October 3). Emergency services were called to a concern for welfare report off Ashton Street in the Dukinfield area at around 10.15am.
Officers tragically recovered the body of a man, thought to be aged in his 40s. No further details about his identity have been released by police, who said there is not believed to be a 'wider risk to the public'.
Police vehicles were pictured at the scene on Thursday, with the area cordoned off. Ashton Street, a continuation of Shepley Road close to the Globe roundabout, was lined with officers throughout the morning.
