Greenock.A man was rushed to hospital and police closed the road in both directions after the alarm was raised at around 3.30pm today, February 16.It is not known if anyone sustained any injuries as a result of the crash, however cops told the Record "several vehicles" were involved.In a plea for the public to avoid the area, Inverclyde Police Division said: "Police in Inverclyde are dealing with a road traffic collision on east-bound carriageway on Rue End Street in Greenock across from Fire station and require to close the road."Traffic is being diverted.
Please avoid the area if possible."Emergency services remain on the scene but cops have now reopened the road.In an update they said: "Road now open however traffic congested, thank you.
