An internet user has been left in stitches after he ordered a cheeseburger from McDonald's with everything taken off – including the burger and the bun.American cartoonist Rob DenBleyker decided to test the limits of the burger customisation offered by the fast food chain to see what would happen if he subtracted everything from a regular Maccy D's cheeseburger and had it delivered to his door.
The feature – available in the UK via the McDonald's app or by using the touchscreen order points at restaurants – allows diners to add or subtract toppings from their burger to their preference.
DenBleyker tweeted that he decided to try ordering a "nothing burger" with the app to test the limits of the restaurant's systems, to the point of farce, the Mirror reports.
He wrote: "Will they cancel it? Deliver an empty bag? I am doing this so you don't have to." A standard McDonalds cheeseburger in the US comes with mustard, ketchup, onions, pickles and cheese, served on a meat patty inside a regular burger bun.
