New Orleans police obtained a warrant to arrest the 21-year-old on suspicion of second-degree murder and cruelty to a juvenile but he has not been seen since Thursday.
Jo'nyri 's mum had left her in Steele's care at a hotel in central New Orleans for a few hours and returned to find the child unresponsive and limp early on October 3, Nola reports.
