Lee Dove, 34, started chatting with the woman on the social media platform on Christmas Day. Days later they agreed to meet at her home in Bury.

Dove left with the keys to her car, prosecutors said. The BMW, worth about £8,000, was recovered and found to have been used in an 'armed robbery'.

Prosecutors said there was no suggestion Dove was involved in that incident. Manchester's courts are some of the busiest in the country with a vast array of cases heard every week.
