Around 10.10am on Thursday, 26 August, both vehicles were travelling north on the A1, around half a mile north of Torness Power Station, when they collided as they approached temporary roadworks.
Emergency crews raced to the scene and a 22-year-old man was taken to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious leg injuries.As a result of the incident, bitumen spilled onto the road and therefore it had to be closed for over 12 hours for it to be cleared.Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick has urged anyone with information to come forward.He said: “We are appealing for anyone who was driving in this.
