A man has died in a fall while climbing in the Lake District with his daughter. It took place at Raven Cragg, Borrowdale at about 1pm on Sunday, mountain rescue volunteers said.
The dad, believed to be in his 40s, was seen to fall 'some distance' by a climbing guide and his client scaling a nearby crag.
The guide immediately called 999 and requested mountain rescue, then abseiled down to help. The man sadly died from injuries sustained in the fall.
Volunteers from Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and members of members of a team RAF Leeming, who were in the area, attended the scene.
