An abusive boyfriend held an eight-inch knife to his terrified girlfriend's throat while they were on holiday at a caravan site and told her: 'You're going to die tonight'.

The victim tried to escape Stuart Jones's clutches but he dragged her back into the caravan while she was in tears, Wales Online reports.

The drunken 44-year-old was staying at Trecco Bay caravan park in Porthcawl with his partner on November 11 when he viciously attacked her.

Jones had been indulging in alcohol throughout the day and left a pub abruptly before he went back to the caravan and carried out the assault.His ex partner had received concerning texts from Jones and went back to their accommodation where she discovered him in the bedroom.
