A student has told a trial he heard screams of “fright” coming from playing fields where Libby Squire was allegedly murdered.
University of Hull student, Drew Brewster, claimed he heard the “urgent” screams at 12.30am on February 1, 2019. That is when the defence say murder-accused Pawel Relowicz was at home with his wife and two children.
Relowicz, 26, is standing trial accused of the rape and murder of Libby Squire, aged 21. He denies the charges. Relowicz, a butcher, claims he was trying to help Libby get home and had consensual sex with her, leaving her on Oak Road in Hull before driving away.
The prosecution claim he raped her then murdered her to “silence her screams” before dumping her in a freezing river. The University of Hull
