A man was found with a knife after 'throwing bags of drugs' when spotted by police in Bolton on Friday night (December 15). Officers patrolling the Halliwell area witnessed a drug deal taking place nearby Halliwell Road.
A man was then seen 'throwing two bags', thought to contain Class A drugs, when he was approached by police. He was also found carrying a knife at the scene and was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of a bladed article.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries, Greater Manchester Police said. "The male was seen to throw two bags when police approached him.
These bags were found to contain what is believed to be class A drugs. He was also found in possession of a knife. "He has been arrested for possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of a bladed article.
