Leon Rix claimed he was just moving the drugs for someone else. A drugs expert estimated that the stash which still had the original stamp on from Colombia, had an estimated street value of between £42,870 and £142,900.
In the glove compartment of his Vauxhall Astra a baton was found. Despite his explanation Rix was charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of a knife in a public place.
