Man found dead in Airdrie street on Easter Sunday named locally as Peter Mcelroy

dailyrecord.co.ukA man who died after being attacked on an Airdrie street on Easter Sunday has been named locally as Peter Mcelroy. Local sources told the Daily Record Peter, 48, died following a disturbance on High Street at around 4.40pm on Sunday.
Emergency service s raced to the street but sadly Peter was pronounced dead at the scene. Police Scotland have now confirmed a 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with his death.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a man, 38, has been arrested in connection with the death of a 48-year-old man in Aridrie.
