Man finds his brother dead in bedroom after phone call from friend

A grieving man has issued a warning about a new, powerful street drug following the tragic overdose of his younger brother. Danny Draper, aged 39, was found deceased in a friend's flat on January 24 after consuming a fatal mix of ecstasy, kraton, and nitazenea synthetic opioid far stronger than heroin.

Danny's sibling, Vincenzo Carubia, discovered him lifeless in bed, an image he says "will stay with me for the rest of my life".

After an inquest into Danny's death last week, Vincenzo opened up about his brother's descent into addiction. He recounted how Danny began using drugs in his twenties due to back pain. He became addicted to opioids through prescription drugs. It just spiralled from there, and over a period of time he was hooked.
