Man dies in road crash tragedy on A75 just days before Christmas

dailyrecord.co.ukA man has tragically died in a road crash near Dumfries just two days before Christmas.Emergency services raced to the single-vehicle collision on the A75 near to the Lochfoot Roundabout at 11pm yesterday.
Medics attended, however the 30-year-old driver of the silver Renault Megane was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.No other vehicles were involved and nobody else was injured.
The road was closed overnight to allow police inquiries take place and has since reopened.Officers investigating the circumstances of the crash have asked for any witnesses to come forward.
Particularly, they want to hear from those with dash-cam footage. Sergeant Kenny Malaney said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.
