Police are treating the man's death as suspicious. The man in his 50s suffered a medical episode in Brabyns Park, Marple Bridge, on Tuesday afternoon (March 23).
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Police confirmed his death this morning (Friday). A statement posted on the GMP Marple and Hazel Grove Facebook page said: "To dispel rumours that appear to have been circulating in Marple, we can confirm there was an incident at Brabyns Park during the afternoon of Tuesday 23rd March.
