Man dead and second injured after incident near Scots community centre

A police probe is underway after one man died and another was injured in an incident close to a Scots community centre. The incident took place in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, this afternoon.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene amid reports of an alleged knife attack.A huge police presence was seen in the area, as officers locked down the scene to begin their investigation.

Photographs from the scene show the area taped off with a number of emergency services vehicles at the scene.
