Dias was handed the captain's armband for City's Champions League opener against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night, the first time he has worn the armband for the club after signing from Benfica in a £60m deal last summer.
The decision came as a shock to many considering Kevin De Bruyne, who has captained the side many times under Pep Guardiola, was on the pitch but it has since been revealed that the changing room voted Dias into the third-captain role recently.
