Manchester City are closing in on making Chelsea star Mateo Kovacic their first signing of the summer transfer window. City might be coming off the back of their crowning achievement after winning the Champions League to secure a historic treble just two weeks ago but attentions have already turned to the forthcoming campaign.
Pep Guardiola is looking to make his squad even better which begins with the signing of Kovacic to bolster his midfield ranks.
It's understood the Croatian underwent a medical on Friday and providing there is no issues should be confirmed as a City player in the coming week.
