Bukayo Saka has been touted as Manchester City's 'dream replacement' following the departure of Raheem Sterling. According to the Mail Online, Pep Guardiola's side think the Gunners sensation is the perfect player to fill the gap left following Sterling's move to Chelsea.

The report says that the north London side are accelerating contract talks with Saka following heightened interest from City.

The 20-year-old has less than two years remaining on his contract and City will be all too aware of Arsenal's recent frailties when it comes to agreeing contract renewals with their star players.

This has alerted the Premier League champions to the possibility that they could tempt Saka away from the Emirates. ALSO READ: Zinchenko and wife send emotional message Elsewhere, City have rejected a £16million bid from Southampton for their teenage striker Liam Delap.
