Man charged with murder after woman, 54, 'not seen since late January'

A man has been charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of a woman who has 'not been seen since late January'.

Karl Hutchings, 47, of Hill, Christchurch, near March in Cambridgeshire, was charged on Sunday night (February 16) and is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning (17 February).

Detectives announced last week they were treating the disappearance of 54-year-old Julie Buckley as murder. Julie, from Christchurch, near March, has not been seen since late January.

Police have always aimed to find her alive, but evidence suggests she has come to serious harm, the force said. Detectives have appealed for information about her whereabouts and would like to hear from anyone who has seen her in recent weeks.
