Emergency services were called to a house on Denman Walk, in Cheetham Hill, at around 3.20am on Sunday morning, April 18. A man, aged 59, had been assaulted, police said, with responders taking him to hospital with serious injuries.
He was admitted in a critical condition, and although he remains in hospital, his condition is improving. Another man, aged 67, was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.
