A witness described seeing police "all over the place" as they drove past Fletcher Street, on the outskirts of the town centre, this morning (Thursday May 20).
According to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), a man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and is currently in custody for questioning.
A GMP spokesman: "Officers were called to Fletcher Street, Bolton, at about 7.30am today to reports a man had a knife. "A man has been arrested and is in custody for questioning on suspicion of making threats to kill." Get breaking news first on the free
