A man has been arrested after a teenage girl was raped in a wooded area of South Lanarkshire. On May 20, the girl was with friends in the woods near Bothwell Castle between 5.45pm and 7.30pm.
After breaking away from the group, she was approached by a man who raped her, near the Clyde Walkway. Officers from Police Scotland in Lanarkshire confirmed that a man aged 25 had been arrested in connection with the serious sexual assault.
