Police have launched a murder investigation after a pensioner was stabbed to death inside a home in London. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Force were called just before 10am this morning, April 2, to reports a woman had been stabbed in Newham, London.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, rushed to the scene in Manor Park, where they found a woman in her 80s who had been "critically injured".
The pensioner was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed. A police cordon remains in place around the address in Landseer Avenue, and a post-mortem examination will be carried out shortly.
