A man has been arrested following an alleged disturbance that saw armed police descend on a flat in a Scots town.Cops were scrambled to the property in St Conal's Square, Kirkconnel, at around 5.20 pm on Thursday, May 5.
Pictures from the scene show firearms officers standing by the door of the Dumfries-shire flat. A police dog was also drafted into the scene.
Cops have now confirmed a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.He is due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Friday, May 6.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.20 pm on Thursday, 5 May, 2022, police were called to a disturbance in a flat in St Conal's Square, Kirkconnel."A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident."He is due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court today, Friday, 6 May, 2022.
