Man arrested after allegedly stealing thousands of pounds worth of goods from Paisley property
dailyrecord.co.ukA man has been arrested in connection with the theft of £9,500 worth of goods from a property in Paisley.Police in the area stopped a vehicle on Thursday morning, which they say was involved in an incident that saw a MacKean Street property targeted by thieves, who allegedly made off with thousands of pounds worth of tools and machinery.The 52-year-old driver was arrested on Fulbar Road around 9.50am on Thursday and was charged in connection with the theft.
He is due to appear in court at a later date.Inspector Lorna McLaren from the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Division said: “At 0950 hours on Thursday, May 11 at Fulbar Road, Paisley officers stopped a vehicle which had been involved in a theft, valuing approx £9500, from a property in McKean Street, Paisley.“The male driver (age 52) of the vehicle was arrested and charged with offences.
