Kieran Shortman, 35, and another unknown male, jumped out of a black Peugeot 3008 before hitting Daniel Rothwell with the long knives in Whitefield last year, Manchester Crown Court heard.
The two men attacked Mr Rothwell for a number of minutes before fleeing in the car, it was said. The Peugeot was found later that day after a hotel in Prestwich reported a car on fire in the carpark, prosecutors said.
Following an examination of the dash cam, it showed a conversation between the occupants of the Peugeot discussing the attack and ‘gloating’
