Man accused of murdering Zikel Bobmanuel appears in court for first time

A man accused of murdering Zikel Bobmanuel has appeared in court. Emmanuel Oluwatobi Onasanya, of John Beeley Avenue in Openshaw, is accused of murdering Mr Bobmanuel on Saturday, March 25.

Mr Bobmanuel was found dead on Sandywell Street, with police believing he was shot. Appearing at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today (March 28), Mr Onasanya, 32, only spoke to confirm his name, address, and date of birth.

During the short hearing, it was confirmed Mr Onasanya will appear at Manchester Crown Court tomorrow (Wednesday, March 28.
