Ruby Cropper died following a collision in New Road, Radcliffe, on August 10 of last year. Andrew Cairns, 36, is charged with causing her death by dangerous driving.

No pleas were entered. Wearing a grey t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms, he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
