Barry Rowlands said he 'thought nothing of it at the time' when he heard the noise and felt a bit of pain in his left shoulder.

But the 38-year-old said he then woke up in agony, and couldn't move his arm at all, the Liverpool Echo reports. He later a scan which revealed his tendons had come off his shoulder bone, an injury which would need surgery to fix.
