A man has been charged after being found in possession of a firearm following a police pursuit in Rochdale. Ahad Hussain was initially arrested on Tuesday (October 11), following a police pursuit on Tweedale Street.
During the chase, Hussain's car collided with another car, and he was detained by officers at the scene. He was later taken to Fairfield Hospital in Bury to be treated for injuries - where officers recovered a firearm.
Hussain, of West Street, Rochdale, was guarded by 'specialist' officers, while a scene was put in place in part of the hospital and investigators attended to conduct additional enquiries. Hussain's injuries were thought to be sustained during the collision and while serious are not life-threatening. He has now been remanded in custody and will appear in Manchester Magistrates today (13 October 2022). READ NEXT:
