A 20-year-old man is due to appear in court next year accused of murdering a man in Wigan town centre. Jordan Short, of Rushey Hey Road, Kirkby, is charged with murder following the death of Steven McMyler.
The 34-year-old joiner, from Marsh Green, was found with serious injuries in the grounds of Wigan Parish Church on August 6 last year. Mr Short was arrested six days later and charged by police. He made his first appearance in Manchester Crown Court via video link from HMP Forest Bank, in Salford, on August 14, 2020.
