At least two buildings have been damaged in a Malibu brush fire that is the product of dangerous Santa Ana winds, scorching around 50 acres before being contained by fire fighters.

No injuries have been reported as of Wednesday afternoon, as of which time the fire’s “forward progress stopped,” according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which noted the fire is being held with 15% containment.

Video of the scene showed at least one beachfront home on Malibu Road that was on fire. The Broad Fire was sparked at about 9am near Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu Canyon Road, following a red flag warning of critical fire danger due to a combination of the Santa Ana winds and low humidity.

Malibu officials are urging residents to shelter indoors and be prepared to evacuate if conditions worsen, as all lanes of PCH have been closed from Corral Canyon to Webb Way.
