Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Sets Todd McIntosh And Peter Tothpal For Lifetime Achievement Honors

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild said Thursday that Buffy the Vampire Slayer make-up artist Todd McIntosh and Terminator hair stylist Peter Tothpal will be honored with lifetime achievement awards at the 2025 MUAHS Awards.

The honors will be bestowed at the ceremony set for February 15 at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel. McIntosh, who won Outstanding Makeup Emmys for Buffy and later Pushing Daisies among his 12 overall nominations, has a list of credits that also includes the films Memoirs of a Geisha, Venom, The Brady Bunch Movie and The Clan of the Cave Bear, and series including Dark Shadows, Star Trek: Enterprise and Legion in a career in its sixth decade.

Tothpal created looks for all three of James Cameron’s Terminator movies, and his MCU credits include both Avengers movies, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.

2 and Iron Man 3, along with Cameron’s True Lies, Eraser and Another 48 Hrs. His wigs and period hair styling skills were employed in films like The Beastmaster, La Bamba and The Scorpion King.
